Sarah Hyland Teases Brand

Love Island USA season 5 host Sarah Hyland admits there's a new format and opens up about what fans can expect as the singles start their journey.

Love Island USA season 5's host Sarah Hyland shared some brand-new details about the format of the show, including the way that coupling up will work this season. As a newer part of the Love Island USA franchise, Sarah has been the host of the show through its first season on Peacock, where it will stream for the upcoming season. Though the format has been mostly left unchanged from the series' original CBS run, it looks like things are changing for the sexy singles who are looking for love at Casa Amor. With a group of fun, flirty new singles, things are looking steamy for Love Island USA.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, the Modern Family star shared that there's a whole new way for singles to couple up inside the villa. "We have a brand-new way of our Islanders coupling up that has never been done before," Sarah gushed. "So, I am very excited to see how they are going to go about coupling up." Though she didn't disclose specifics, she had no problem sharing more about the singles themselves, whom she finds incredibly fun to work with. "We have the craziest–in the best way–people on the show. They're just so fun, charismatic, and sexy," Sarah shared.

While the singles and the beautiful locations are a huge part of Love Island USA season 5, Sarah teased that they're putting in the work when it comes to making real connections with each other. Though Love Island USA tends to be a cheeky competition series, Sarah shared that it can be tough. "There is high risk high reward on our show, and it’s also about a lot of luck, too," Sarah explained. "Who you couple up with at first really sets the tone for the rest of your journey in the villa. These people have to be really vulnerable and communicative.”

With the singles looking to find real, meaningful love with one another, the stars of Love Island USA have their work cut out for them. Though the series has continually revamped itself in the several years since it's been on the air, the show coming up with new twists and ways for the Love Island-ers to form different, lasting bonds is refreshing to watch. With new ways for singles to couple up along with several other fun twists added to the show, it's clear that Love Island USA season 5 will be unlike any other installment fans have seen before.
